Our country is in need of a positive and moving forward change. We all need to join together as a country to empower people and reject the status quo. Barack Obama is (by far) the best person to carry a message of change and hope for our best days ahead. In combining a commitment to ending poverty and an ability to inspire -- along with so many more positive things for our country -- Barack Obama has shown an ability to fight the status quo by bringing new people into electoral politics, by energizing those who feel they have no role to play, and by giving a voice to those who thought they had none.

Barack Obama will lead the world to combat the threats of 21 century: nuclear weapons and terrorism; climate change and disease; and genocide and poverty. Barack Obama will bring our men and women home from IRAQ, close Guantanamo, restore Habeas Corpus, and improve our damaged relations with our allies. Barack Obama will provide access to healthcare for all who want it and monetary assistance to those who can?t pay for it alone -- not in 16 years but by the end of his first term in 2012. Barack Obama will pump resources in to our schools so we can train our children for the future. Barack Obama will create a ?green? job corps, tie a living wage to the cost of living, and bring us homeland security by creating an Apollo-type project to get off of dangerous fossil fuels.

Barack Obama has the vision to lead, the power to inspire, and the ability to effect change.

The Baltimore city office for Barack Obama's Maryland campaign on 12.February, to get out the vote will officially open with Mayor Sheila Dixon, Congressman Elijah Cummings, and others today, 5.February, at 1:30 p.m., at 813 East Baltimore Street in Baltimore. Campaigning work has already begun. The following is needed. Please lend your support in one or more of these areas:

It would be so helpful if a restaurant or a caterer could contribute food for Primary day.
MONEY!!! (The national campaign has been getting a great response of donations but that doesn?t necessarily translate into what local offices receive. Providing money on the local level will enable the offices to take care of much needed work right here!)

The full-time staff of the Baltimore Barack Obama campaign consists of paid and unpaid volunteers who have given their time for something they believe in without much sleep or compensation.
